The United States is a vast country with plenty of places to see depending on the region that you visit. Famous destinations like New York, Washington, DC, and Orlando, FL, barely scratch the surface of what the Eastern United States has to offer visitors. Here are just a few places to see on or near the East Coast.

New York, New York

New York City is the most populated city in the United States, housing over 8 million people. For this reason, there are plenty of experiences to be had, all diverse and unique in their own ways. One of New York’s most famous attractions is the Broadway Theater. Located on the equally famous Broadway Street, the theater attracts millions of people looking to watch award-winning plays and musicals annually. New York is home to many attractions and historical landmarks that draw crowds from all walks of life. A few must-see attractions for visitors are the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Central Park, and the famous Times Square.

Disney World

Disney World offers a variety of parks all located within walking distance of one another, ensuring that no matter what there is something for everyone. Located in Orlando, Florida, over 400,000 people grab their tickets and head for Disney World on an average day. There are many adventures to be had at the resort, which houses four parks: Animal Kingdom, EPCOT, Magic Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios. Thrill-seekers will enjoy the resort’s seven roller coasters and thrill rides, including the famously frightening Tower of Terror.

Washington, DC

Washington, DC, or District of Columbia is the capital of the United States. Rich in historically significant landmarks, Washington is a popular destination for those who want to understand America’s past as it is the home of the country’s most significant government buildings. Visitors can venture to the White House, home of the President, to take pictures and learn about the nation’s history during a tour. Other significant attractions include the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, the Capitol Building, and the Smithsonian museums, and even art exhibits

The eastern United States is home is one of the best places to travel to for an understanding of America. From star-studded districts and thrilling rides to landmarks symbolizing the building of the country’s democracy, the east coast provides plenty of destinations that can satisfy anyone’s curiosity and thirst for adventure.
