I managed the rainy season waterfall hikes, crazy driving, and volcanic sulfur just fine, only to nearly drown on a rafting excursion. We hit a rock and our guide and I fell out of the raft, and I got trapped underneath it for some 50 meters. I was definitely quite shaken, but I just looked at it as the best adventure of 2019. The rest of the week was spent exploring some of the most beautiful landscapes I’ve ever seen.
So if you’re looking for an adventure, I’d 100% recommend East Java. Just make sure you cover your back 😜 #PoweredByTriptime
